Welcome to our school
Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to find out about our school. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and open school that offers a high quality education for all our children. We are a small, inclusive, diverse community school situated in the heart of Bedminster in South Bristol. We are a one form entry school, admitting up to 30 children each year. In addition we have a Resource Base provision for children with a diagnosis of autism. We also have a highly regarded term time only nursery provision for children who are 3 years old.
We are fortunate enough to have both an extensive playground area, complete with a fully functional and well used forest school area, and a large school field. We work hard to ensure that our exciting outdoor spaces play an important part in our learning. We are also able to offer our pupils a wealth of resources to support their learning. Including a specialist Art Studio, Cookery Room, Library and a Music Room.
Our school motto 'aspire, believe, achieve' is fundamental in all that we do.
Compass Point Primary School is a caring, respectful, co-operative, learning community. We have an academic curriculum that is engaging, purposeful, aspirational, creative and encourages pupils to be independent and collaborative. We place great value on children’s social and emotional development through the teaching of a high quality Personal, Special, Health and Emotional curriculum. Our children are encouraged to develop qualities such as perseverance, self worth, respect, resilience and kindness to both themselves and others. We have high expectations for each and every one of the children within our school. All our children are expected to work hard and challenge themselves to be the very best that they can be.
